Civil structures

The above are some examples of the diversity of civil structures that we have designed.

Other projects include work on the PJK Expressway and Hewletts Road Flyover Bridges in Tauranga, the Britomart Tunnel, SH20 Bridges in Manukau, Transmission Gully investigations in Wellington, the East Taupo Arterial Waikato River Bridge and numerious railway bridges around New Zealand.

We've worked on the Redoubt Road Reservoir and the reservoir at Cape Kidnappers. Right now we're working on the Taupo wastewater treatment.

Aside from the Piers project in San Francisco, we've also worked on port structures in Picton, Wellington, Timaru and the ferry terminal in Auckland.

  • Cape Kidnappers: The Clubhouse is styled on a traditional woolshed in a nod to the history of the property.
  • Bridge at Awatere: The bridge was constructed using a top-down approach that saw the precast panels levered into place, and the rails replaced over the bridge.
  • Bridge at Rapahoe: Holmes was the recipient of an ACENZ Award of Merit for the project.
  • Mangamahu Bridge: Clever design saves both material and costs
  • Piers - San Francisco: Our seismic and marine expertise were useful in the rehabiliation of the Piers.
