Centre
The Force Entertainment
Centre is a cinema and entertainment complex in the heart of
Auckland. The site is located on land which was formerly a street
and includes two designated historical buildings. It is confined
by existing buildings on three sides, Queen Street on the fourth,
and air rights to allow construction above an adjoining carpark.
The structure is an integral part of the overall design, and
a large variety of structural solutions were necessary in order
that the functionality of the finished centre was not compromised.
