There are few engineering consultancies in the world that can lay claim to the privilege of designing some of a nation's most visible assets. Holmes Consulting Group has worked on the Parliament, the Supreme Court and the national museum of New Zealand, Te Papa Tongarewa. In addition we've worked on many local municipal projects. Internationally, we've worked on several government and NGO projects.

  • Auckland Art Gallery: Scheduled for completion in 2011, this projects promises to deliver an exciting new exhibition space and art centre.
  • Parliament Buildings: This project represents the largest seismic retrofit in the world with a project cost of $ 170 million.
  • The project to accommodate the new Supreme Court of New Zealand combined the construction of a contemporary new Supreme Court building with the careful restoration of the existing heritage Old High Court Building.
  • Te Papa is base isolated, resting on lead rubber bearings and teflon sliders that cushion the building against earthquakes.
