The tubular steel trusses are delivered to site, placed on temporary supports and fitted with cladding, service ducts, conveying systems, lighting and other sevices while still at or near ground level.

Hydraulic jacks are used to raise the structure, each truss curving upwards into a pre-calculated arch in which the top chord member deforms uniformly as the jacking force is applied to a tension cable passing through the bottom chord.

Columns on one side of the building are pinned at their bases and pivot upright as erection proceeds. Columns on the opposite side slide on their bases on skid-ways into their final upright position.
