Our people in Christchurch
06/09/2010
Christchurch was rocked by a 7.1 earthquake on Saturday, 4 September 2010. Our people and their families are safe. Our heartfelt thanks to those who have enquired after them.
Our engineers have been out working since a few hours after the earthquake. Some have worked with Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) ascertaining the stability of the standing buildings and assisting the Christchurch City Council where required.
Engineers who are not USAR-trained have been seeing to the damage on behalf of our clients in Canterbury. All of our people have been assisting where possible. Staff around the country have been and will remain on standby to assist as needed.
An interesting interview with Sir Miles Warren and Maurice Mahoney (.mp3 file), founding partners of Warren & Mahoney Architects, is available thanks to Radio New Zealand.
