The Quadrant

The Quadrant is a hotel and residence in Auckland. The design and development of this project offered a few challenges, including the tight fit with the Hyatt Hotel located on one side and an apartment complex on the other.

The modern, cool design has blended in with its neighbours, in part due to the tower being set back from the street and connected to the low-rise front area by an air bridge.

The hotel entry is off Parliament Street, which is 8 levels above Eden Crescent which bounds the North side of the development.  Significant retaining works required to be integrated into the project to cope with this major level change across the site - not to mention added complexity of having to underpin the adjoining Hyatt hotel and existing apartment complex.

The project has won both an NZIA award as well as a Property Council New Zealand award.
