Yellow™ Tree House

When we were asked us if we would help Yellow™ to build a real restaurant up a tree, we didn't miss a beat - YES!

We love this sort of stuff.  Colenso BBDO, the masterminds behind the advertising campaign had set the challenge.  In great secrecy, our engineers developed the design solution with Pacific Environment Architects.  The project was extremely fast track, just three months from initial concepts to completion of construction.

The restaurant platform is supported 10m up a California Redwood.  Access is via a series of walkway bridges and platforms winding through the trees behind.

The Yellow™ Treehouse restaurant opened on time, serving fine food for a limited two month season.  The images of the magical pod clinging to its tree during midsummer spread like wildfire globally, capturing the imagination of many. 

The Yellow™ Treehouse has won numerous advertising and architectural awards in New Zealand and around the world.
